Did Metal Slug GBA get canned?

I heard that this game got scrapped due to Metal Slug Anthology, then I ran across this link:

Gamestop is usualy very accurate with release dates once they're posted on the site. That would be cool if it was still on. I'd love some slug on my DS.

If they still have it as a pre-order I tend to think it is still coming out. Sure they have Anthology on the way for the PSP, but not everyone with a GBA has a PSP, so not releasing it because something better is available on a different system doesn't make much sense IMO...There are more GBA's on the market than the PSP will ever have...

Gamefaq's (yeah I know everyone hates them) shows Metal Slug as Q1 07, and then also lists Metal Slug 2, 3 and X as cancelled. So I'd say that at least Metal Slug 1 is still on the way, and the others, at least for now, are in the toilet...The game (MS1) looks to have been pretty much completed already from everything I've seen, so why bother not releasing it? The others probably never got far into development, if at all...
