I can't update until 2mo. All I know is you get the PS1 emulator, but apparently there are more features added too. What are they please?

You can turn off UMD auto-run, and use the PSP as a remote for the PS3 
. Maybe it has compatibility for more media formats.
It looks like the PSX emulator is not in the firm, but integrated in each game you download, the firm only has compatibility for it. And so far you can only get PSX games by buying and downloading them through... PS3
And yes, 3.0 only lasted some hours and they upgraded to 3.01 right away, I guess it had some kind of bug...

The PS1 emu is in the 3.01 firm from what I can gather, it's found under the PS3 controller symbol. Obviously I cannot confirm, but this is what I've been told.

a bug fix from 3.0
the psx emu thats only playable though a ps3(wish i would of read before i installed)
