I was given a Neo-Geo AES the other day but i think it has problems. I am no expert on electronics as it is not my field but I realy want to get this console back up and running.

Here's what happens:

I plug everything in and insert the Cyber-Lip cart and power on. I get the screen going through different colours with some random chars visable and then it stops on a blue screen and that is it.

I have tried cleaning both the cart and the cart slot within the NEO-Geo and both have proved to be of no use. I would realy like to get this classic back up and running.

These are the details from the label on the base:

Neo-Geo
Model No: NEO-AEC
Rating 8W
Use PRO-POW-E ac adaptor only
Serial no: 90A 043113

I have the original power adapter that is switchable between 110 / 240 volts

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have a different cart you can try? From a blue color screen it means the Bios has gone through all the tests ok but simply does not see the cart as inserted. Maybe the cart is faulty or there is a broken trace somewhere going to the cart slot on the AES.
