My wife knocked my PSP off of the computer desk. Now when you turn it on, the battery light comes on but the screen doesnt light up and you cant feel the UMD drive running. Also, when you try to power it off, the system doesnt power down and the green power light remains on. My question is... is this something that can be fixed or am I better off just getting a new PSP? Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW ... bought this from a forum member here so it doesnt have an extended warranty. Luckily, this isnt my 1.5 PSP.

It sounds like you broke more than the lcd screen. its possible you broke the power on/off switch as well.

You can get them fairly inexpensively, might be worth looking into, as a first try to fixing the psp try replacing it.

If this fixed the on/off problem, then replace the screen

Thanks for the response. I will see about getting a replacement On/Off switch. Looks like I'm off to Ebay to start the search.
