Well I got my 4 slot cab and new help with just a few small things. All of these things involve wiring.

1. Hooking up the memory card reader and head phones

2. I want to hook up the test mode button and on/off switch on the service panel (I checked and for some reason these are just unhooked) Here is a pic of my service panel.

3. The florecent panel for the mini-marquee is unhooked.

Anyway I just need to know where/how to hook these up. Pics of what to do would help.

Thanks guys

first place for you need to go is:

www.hardmvs.com

here you will find the jamma harness connector pinout so that you can trace the wires that need to be hooked up to your service switch, and test switch. On the other side of both of these switches you will also have to wire a ground wire.

secondly if you can access the dip switches on the side of your motherboard, pressing down #7 (there are 8 in total all numbered) will place the machine on free play making it not necessary for the service switch to be wired at all really.

Finally you say the flourescent light is not working behind the marquee, well if it is a dedicated (which means original) neo geo cab you should not have a flourescent lamp but 2 pair of 2 glowing marquee boards.

It's dedicated. I see the wires coming off the little circuite board that is hooked to the panel I just need to know where to hook it to....Do I hook it to the JAMA harness

I think that plugs into the Marquee pannel. I unplugged mine because the marq lights didn't work very well and they were making all sorts of unpleasant noises. I've got to get a new one at some point because a well lit marquee looks very nice. I think we may have the same cabinets.

Alright so I would plug the on/of switch to the power supply.

I would wire the test button to the JAMA harness

right?

Yeah my MM light is hosed so I guess I'll have to buy a new one later.

I've owned several arcade cabs over the years and from what I've noticed when things are unplugged it's usually for a reason. Most likely broken or causing another problem to occur. I'm no expert though this is just from experience.

I need some help with my 4 slot board

I have a cab with a NEO-MVH 4 slot, however, when I plug it in there are just a few blocks scrambled on the top of the screen. I placed a Jamma board from another game (Double Dragon) in the NEo Cabnet to see if the jamma connector was working and the Double Dragon game worked perfectly. So I figure there is a problem with my 4 slot board. Does anyone have any information on how I can fix this problem. I have attached a picture of what the screen looks like when I turn on the cabinet with the 4 slot board. Thank you
