I bought some games for the DS and I've played them only for a few stages. Games that everyone here just waxed on and on about for being awesome.

WELL IT'S TIME FOR A REAL MAN'S OPINION.

Meteos sucks ass, lameass blocks drop too fast. NOT GOOD.

Sonic Rush is shitty shit on a shitstick. I'm confused as hell as to where I'm going and what's going on. This music is worse than any of the Sonic Adventures, which is an amazing feat. It appears I am also never going to get over Sega calling the fatman Dr. Eggman. WORSE THAN SONIC ADVENTURE 2.

New Super Mario Bros. is one of the plainest, most generic and been there, done that platformers..nay, games I've ever played. Still, I can get some fun out of it. NOT IMPRESSED.

Neo-Geo'ers so help you God you better be right about Kirby CC rockin ass, cause I still haven't played it.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is I'll never trust you bastards again.

Meteos does not suck. Just because you suck at the game, don't whine. Learn to play the fucking game and maybe you will get better and enjoy it. Meteos is one of the more brilliant puzzle game to come along for the past 5 years and you played it for 5 minutes and think you are the shit to bash it like you are some fucking elite gamer.

Guess what, you suck at it and you suck at complaining.

Have you tried Castlevania DS? That IMO is still the best game out for the DS. Also, the new Castlevania will be out for the DS next month.

I didn't care for Sonic Rush, I thought that Meteos was an above average puzzle game and the New Super Mario Bros. was excellent.

Don't be a fucking pansy.

The great thing about Meteos is how hectic it can get.

The rest of the stuff I agree with, at least the NSMB bit (haven't played Sonic).

Buy Dawn of Sorrow and Megaman ZX.

The latter is nothing out of this world but it's a great 2D platformer (with only a couple of annoying issues) while Dawn of Sorrow is just awesome.

Partners in Time was pretty enjoyable too.

Canvas Curse was meh.

Kirby CC is a great game... There's a world called "Neo Greo" in it. Hahaha.

Obviously you have absolutely no idea what the fuck you are talking about. Why don't you go play some more PS2 ports on your PSP as it is clear that you do not care about originality in gameplay at all.

I don't know, man, I've bought nearly 40 games for my DS in the last year which is more than I've ever bought for any system in such a short perioud of time. Out of all those, only 2 have just plain sucked: Lunar Dragon Song (so sad :() and Naruto 4.

Many of them were only okay: Polerium, Zoo Keeper, Bomberman, Point Blank, etc, but for $20, they were worth it.

Then there's another batch which were pretty damn good, but I got tired of after a while: Partners in Time (sorry, too easy and repetitive for me), Brain Age (SAME SHIT EVERY DAY, MAN), Children of Mana (and I'm a huge Mana fan), DBZ Super sonic warriors (meh, it was good for $10), Metroid Pinball, Pac-Pix, Pac-n-roll, etc.

The rest were just plain awesome, each in their own way. I'd hate to think how many hours I spent on each and every one of these: Sonic Rush, Animal Crossing (I hate to say it...), Kart, Bleach, Jump Superstars, Metroid, Kirby CC, Meteos (dude, come on, give more of a shot than that...it took me 10 years to really appreciate tetris...try playing it multiplayer if you can)...and all others people mentioned like Castlevania and Mario.

Oh, also Mario vs DK 2...I've been playing that like mad lately. And if you were ever a fan of the old school Lucas Arts type point and click games, check out Trace Memory...it's not fantastic, but it's a reasonably fun game that reminds you of the good ol' days.

Got lots more, but those are the main ones, I think.

I'm thinking a "man's opinion" wouldn't complain about a game being too hard.

I only have one more goddamn motherfucking year before my teen angst just becomes angst so I'm letting all that shit out, RARGH

Meteos is not too hard, I'm saying if the blocks dropped slower it'd prolly be funner. And next time I'll play it I'll actually use the touch screen more, but using the TS makes it harder for me.

I've beat the first world in NSMB and first coupla stages in the second (getting all those big coins, too). I wasn't hyped about this game at all when it was announced, but after hearing everyone praise it all the time, I was like hey, I'm jaded and maybe these kids are right about it rockin, so I'll try it.
I WAS WRONG. EVERYONE WAS WRONG.

Sonic needs to die. I didn't like his first Advance game so I didn't try out 2 and 3, but man did I have high hopes for Rush. The exploration aspect I loved from the Genesis Sonics is gone; speed was always second to exploring the levels of Sonic. The bosses look interesting, I'll give it that much.

I think the reason I'm angry is not because these games suck, it's because I wasted $70 on all four of them. I jew it up when it comes to everything that costs money, so yeah.

Harmony of Dissonance>>>Dawn of Sorrow.
I think I beat DoS just 'cause.
I know ever since the first MMZ they've been incorporating the Metroid-style overworld and stuff, but in ZX I've heard it was expanded into even more annoying heights. Sorry guys but all the backtracking in the Metroidvanias have taught me that I hate Metroid-style games.

also, I ain't speakin opinion, my words are fact, huzzah.

Meteos' blocks dropping too fast?!
BWAHAHA. n00b. Play it more and you will find yourself always holding down the shoulder buttons so blocks drop even faster.

Kirby Canvas Curse does indeed rock.

There ARE a lot of good DS games.
I'll break down my collection below:

Awesome:
Daigasso Band Brothers
Ouendan
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow
Trauma Center
Feel the Magic
Zookeeper (in it's generic-could-have-been-free way)
Mario Kart DS
Kirby Canvas Curse

Good:
LostMagic
Brain Age
Nintendogs
Super Princess Peach
Tetris DS
Super Mario 64 DS
Wario Ware Touched
Big Brain Academy
Electroplankton
Rub Rabbits
Snowboard Kids DS

Ok:
Polarium
Jump Super Stars
Pokemon Trozei
Super Monkey Ball Touch n Roll
Ridge Racer DS
Pac-Pix
Yoshi's Touch and Go
Nanostray
Bust-a-Move
Tony Hawk's American Sk8land

Sad:
Pokemon Dash
Tamagotchi's Corner Shop (yet I enjoyed every sad minute of it)

Pitiful:
Pac'n'Roll
Sprung

Take your pick from the Awesome games or even some of the more-mediocre-"Good" games.

Feel the Magic was surprisingly good. Picked up The Rub Rabbits the other day. Just as great!

whoo Dawn can suck these balls, most boring level designs and music since COTM.
Not like the graphics were that amazing anyways, besides some bosses (which were great btw).

Also, no more lists, I don't care what games you think are good.
The point of this thread is that everyone here is wrong about DS games except me :drool_2:
