Hi,

Has anybody tried replacing the battery on CPS2 single black boards ?
Is it as easy as it is on standard CPS2 games, or is it trickier like for CPS3 games ?

Also, is it possible to apply a suicide fix on these boards ?

Thanks

I replaced a battery on a zero 3 black all in one board.
I did not want to take a chance, so I changed the battery with the game running in my cab.
It was easy to do and works with no problems.

I have never changed a battery on those boards so I don't know about battery replacement. As for the suicide fixes, it can be done providing you have the equipment needed to reprogram the Flash RAM on the SIMMs (which I do not have).

I'm just curious, are you talking about the A board for cps2 or something totally different?

I thought the battery for cps2 was located in the B boards only? but then again I have never opened up an A board?

I have replaced the battery on numerous all-in-one black CPS2 boards. The replacement process can be performed the same as normal CPS2 B boards.
