Sorry guys if i put this in the wrong section but i need your help. I have a booleg sf2 CE that has a purple screen and no sound, It was working last night and when i turned it on this morning nothing but purplr screen, The only thing i can think of is a piece of wire full on the bit near the sound amp before i turned it off last night any ideas?

I also have an other board that works but the A and C punch actions don't work, Checked egde con and buttons all good.

Thanks Guys

Punch buttons not working is usually a chip problem if the buttons and wiring harness check out ok...

With the game off, put an ohmmeter on ground and on the board edge pin for the button you want to test. Push the button and the ohmmeter should read almost zero ohms.

If it doesn't the harness has a problem. If it does the board has a problem.

The board problems can usually be traced to a bad logic chip - common ones are 74ls244 or 74ls541. Those chips aren't too hard to replace unless they are surface mount chips. Then you'll need a good soldering station.
