"New Fatal Fury Game Announced
SNK Playmore has announced production of "Garrou Densetsu vs. Fighters History Dynamite," a fighting game that will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Garrou Densetsu (Fatal Fury) game franchise. Fighters History Dynamite was the second game in Data East's infamous 2D fighting game franchise that was sued by Capcom for copying the Street Fighter franchise.

Hard to know how to feel about that idea. Yay, I guess. Not what I would have wished for the FF 15th anniversary...a lot better than nothing, though.

Notice that in the official web I can see the g-mode logo, isn't that for cell phones?

It's a cellphone game. By G-Mode (owners of the Data East IPs).

SNK will use Data East characters in their games, though (betting on secret characters in KOFXII, myself).

I think it might be for the mobile market tho could be wrong.
What I do know is that snkp has traded licenses with g-mode (who own data easts characters) for each other's IP 's to use there characters in there future games home and arcade.

There's talk over at vinh's forum at the moment on it.

i for one am just too glad its not an arcade game but a celly. fighters history had one of the worst character designs ever so it really shouldnt be mixed with FF. same goes for WH, LB and SS. AOF or KOF characters could go well, same for SF characters.

windjammers sounds like a more interesting concept for a cellphone game.

Ahh, Cell Phone games. I just hope it helps funds interest in newer Data East games.

Translated that site above, appears to be the "girl puts herself into a fanfic" type of storyline. Looking at the screens though reminds me of a SFC:satalite dating game (I can't remember the name of it) by Square. As for the Cell-phone games, SNKP seems to be releasing alot of them so I guess they're doing good in Japan. I wonder if they'll end up releasing them to other handheld's sooner or later.
