Dude, stay away from the guy in Hayward. He is a super douche. He runs a "store" called Funland Amusement, which has nothing but junky video and pinball arcade games. If you go in there and tell the crazy lady that your looking to buy a Neo Geo, she will tell you that if you buy it she is going to keep Puzzle Bobble. I saw a KOF02+ cart lying around when I was in there and I asked her why they have bootlegs in their store, she had no idea what I was talking about, or pretended not to. I talked to Rick on the phone once because he listed up an Aero Fighters cocktail cabinet on craigslist. I asked him, "Are you sure it is Aero Fighters?" He assured me that it was. I drove all the way out to Hayward and when I got there it was an Astro Fighters cocktail of course. He used to have annother location in Dublin, but they closed it becuase they have no idea how to run a business. By the way, the guy who owns all the machines, Rick, won't let any of his employees sell his cabinets, and he is only in the shop for like 1 hour a week. Quite frankly, I have no idea how they're still open. The lady told me he has a whole werehouse of arcade games and pinballs. Personally, I think if he really does own a werehouse, then he is mostly using it to grow hydro, and is using the arcade thing as a front. I can almost guarantee if I was to walk into Funland today, it would have all the same arcade games that were in there last time I stopped in over a year ago.
I'd consider selling my nice 4 slot to you, but I just moved it upstairs a few months ago. I don't really want to go through that process in reverse right now.
I may still have the contact info of the guy I got mine from. He's in San Jose and used to put arcade machines in resturaunts to suppliment his income. He stopped doing that and the machines are pretty much taking over his house and garage. Its been about a year since I was there, so his situation may have changed. Last time I was there though he had like 10 Neo Geos for about $450-$500 each. However he sold my friend a metal slug3 for $40, when he opened it up, it was a bootleg. I could have sworn that the sound worked 100% when I was at his spot, but when i got it home it didn't work anymore.
