This may sound weird, or may be a stupid question, but is there such thing as a jamma extension cable?

No, but if you don't mind soldering you can solder a jamma connector to a set of fingerboards and have a 2x long jamma harness

Hmm... I think I just might do that. It's because I was thinking about putting my 4 slot in my single slot cab, but there's no way to position it for the harness to fit right now.

Actually yes there is. They pop up on ebay (but someitmes are both female sides and you need a fingerboard to slide in) and therealbobroberts sells them as well.

If you are making your own be sure to use decent gauge wire for thr ground and 5 volt connections otherwise there may be excessive voltage drop in the wiring.

Making your own cable can be fun and easy!

This one was made from an off-the-shelf JAMMA harness, with a fingerboard at the far end. The corners of the fingerboard were hacked off with a dremel to make it less sharp and painful to use.

There's a length of shrink-tubing over the whole mess, with a zap-strap at the ends to keep it from shifting. The ends of the shrink tube were heated to grip the straps, then the two ends were dipped in plasti-dip, to give it that uniform blue colour, and to secure the whole assembly.

If you're considering a similar route, remove the paper labels on the femal side as the plasti-dip will, over the years, pull them off and they'll become a bit loose.

I've had this cable for about 8 years now and it's never failed me.

Hey, that chord looks pretty cool! That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Anyway, I just ordered a 4-Slot marquee, but I don't know if it'll fit in my single slot cabinet. Pending on that, I'll probably be looking into making one of those babies.
