Who's the BEST SNK Character

Keep it to fighters, like the other topic.
I'm trying to deal with DESIGNS here, not really playability...so if you like Ryo's fireball, that's great...but you better like how it LOOKS, not because its effective.

Personally, I've got a few faves.

Lucky Glauber
Its a very stereotypical design...but I love it. I love his ABSURDLY annoying voice, his get-up, the fact he's always posing with his mouth open, like he's CONSTANTLY going "WOO" at everything. Its fucking ridiculous

I know its a blatant rip off---but its so well done, i'm impressed. His outfit is pretty slick, almost industrial. His specials LOOK awesome...and his waving cape is the epitome of victory. Cocky, angry, bitter, its great.

Igniz
Even though I believe he's a rip-off in a lot of ways, of Gill...he's just as bad ass if not more. That cape? That special? The background? It's all awesome.

Genjuro - in SSII, his yelling separated him from anyone else - he was so damn angry that you had to love him. And you had to win with him to understand part of his frustration...

Rosa - Fuun STB, her animations and move set combined with her cold attitude just sold me on her. I love her almost as much as

Shiki - the queen goddess of all SNK characters. Her character design was best in SS64, although I also liked her bust design for SS 64 2. The one red eye, one blue eye is very cool. Like Spike, one eye sees the past.

Kazuki in SS 64 2 - you just have to see him in bust mode to understand what a nut he is. I mean, all or nothing, total kamikaze. He'll put his life on the line just to destroy you in one attack...

Leona - I guess you can tell what kind of chick I like. I have to admit, I have a thing for the antisocial quiet girl called Puzzle.

Iori :

stylish costum and cool personality

Hanzo :

great design .......... and he is a ninja

Hauhmarou :

he looks nice but powerful

Genjuro :

looks tough and evil

K' :

for his personality, black suit and ......... sunglasses

Igniz :

reminds me of Alucard

Galford w/Poppy
Sure, you may see a ninja in every fighting game, but how many American ones do you see?

Not many, and that makes him pretty original.

Also have to dig the all around cool threads he wears, a very unique look indeed.

And to top it off he uses his doggy pal Poppy to help him kick ass... What can I say? I'm an animal lover.

His serious attitude and gloomy nature combined with ruthless fighting skills is the epitome of the word badass. Although his look may not be anything special, typical samurai get-up, it's all about the attitude.

Just look at this guy, what a nut.

Crazy look, crazy moves, crazy attitude and he even comes with a little ducky. His design is just so original you can't help but love him.

These are just to name a few, I could probably add another twenty of my personal favorites, that will be it for now.

Kim Kaphwan - How could you not like a guy who stomps on your head, summersaults into the splits, and was one of the first guys that had the rush desperation move where he runs and completely beats the crap out of the opponent, and follows it up with a backwards flip kick? His desperation move in the air is probably one of the most incredible death moves I've ever seen.. it's just THAT badass. Also, just look at him. At first glance he may look like another "guy in a karate uniform", but fuck.. this guys embodies Tae Kwon Do! Kudos to the character design and development with this great character.

Duck King - What a badass breakdancer. His first incarnation wasn't really much more than a ripoff of a regular badguy from Final Fight, but boy when he started to develop, there wasn't no stopping him. His FFS period was awesome. Bigass gold necklace, picture of a big duck on the back of his jacket, and a little duck popping out of his hair when he won/loss. It only got better with the RB series where they really started to go with his breakdancing gimmick. Those moves just look incredible!

Genjuro - What a complete badass. The guy who did his voice acting is just amazing. Whenever your rage guage meter is full and he shouts out that crap, you can almost feel getting pissed yourself. Not to mention his moves are nothing short than spectacular. Nah, not really.. none of what I said I actually meant, I just picked him because of the little frog that pops out in his win pose (kidding, kidding..)

Omega Rugal - This dude kinda scares me sometimes. Having the Reppuken, Kaiser Wave, and his own moves, this guy was deadly as hell. When he became Omega Rugal, the shit hit the fan. His win pose where he tears open his chest is probably the best pose out of any game.. ever. I also like his CvS2 God Rugal incarnation, but still.. nothing will floor me than the original KOF '95 version.

Rasyouzin Miduki - Love how she plays on the whole helper motif by having a transforming monster dog from Hell. I love her specials, and the whole "Ball that restricts specials". That was the first time I had seen that special, and give her kind of a sorceress style unlike the normal characters. I just loved fighting her, and her evil laugh while bouncing me around the room REALLY made me want to kick her ass.

Kibagami Genjuro - I'm a huge Genjuro fan - can't help it. His hanafuda cards are bad ass, and his rivalry with Haohmaru made me love him more (never a big Haohmaru fan).

Kyo Kusanagi - My favority lead fighting game character in history, I just love how he looks from a design sense.

Kouryu - When I battled him, for the first and last time in a fighting game, I really felt like a was fighting a God who could annihilate me in a single blow. He looks like a god. Fun times.

I really like Shingo. He's just funny to use, but an effective fighter anyway. I don't know a whole lot about the storyline to any SNk fighter - He's a Kyo wannabe from what I make out - but I just like using him. I was real sad that he wasn't in 2002.

Andy: He's just cool. I also like his humble attitude.

Yashiro: The bleached white hair thing always appealed to me.

Chris: Totaly looks and sound like a 15 year old boy (You know, that awkward stage where their feet are too big, they have an absurdly high voice)

I'm almost surprised noone has mentioned Vanessa yet. The one truly good thing that came out of the later KOF's. OK, so she's not as original as, say Duck King, but how often does a widowed woman in her thirties get to be in a Fighter and be allowed to kick lots of ass as well?

Kyo Kusanagi:
With both his design and fighting style he became my fav fighting character ever. From his high school uniform complete with his family's emblem to his new "bad ass" outfit he comes off as the typical kid who can and will beat that ass if called for.

Duck King:
Gohan said it all, with his cool breakdancing moves and his look he just screams "cool character". As one of the shining jewels of the FF series the fact that he hasn't been in a KoF is on the sad side

Rosa:
I love her design, then to make it even better they gave her some bitchin moves and animation drool , I was sold before i even realised what a great game Fuun is.

Mai: She puts the O.G. in original ninja girl, she's to SNK what Chun-Li is to capcom and vice versa

Angel:
Yeah she's trying to keep up with Mai in the skimpy outfit department so who can get mad at that. I like how her fighting style is based on "whatever" even though she's borrowing her moves from various wrestlers of today. That and I know a girl who acts just like her so she gets the burnout approval

Yamazaki:
Again another example of a great character from the FF series. He trained himself in his own style and loves hangin on the thin line between sanity and insanity. He uses both the typical mob hitman attire with a more updated look, then there's also that knife of his

Kensou:
I like him cause he's the average guy, he had powers and hung out with this cute girl who also has powers like him, he loves girl, girl doesn't see him like that, he hangs with her and a drunk just in case she changes her mind. Then BAM, he loses his powers and now has to deal with his crushes lil "student" who may or may not be both the cause of his powerloss and related to him. Even with all that he still moves on cause he's a hero and that's what they do

Heavy D!:
I like his design also with the exception of that damn haircut, he has cool moves and nice animations. That and he's not a blatant rip off of a real life boxer like another company based their boxer on.

Shingo:
He's a fanboy plain and simple but unlike others he not only want to be accepted by his "hero" but I also get the feeling he secreatly wants to surpass his "hero" in fighting ability. He may be a goof at times but he's a goof that can kick ass with the best of em

Hanzo & Galford:
Both are kick ass ninja, one's based of an actual person, the other uses his dog in combat and is an american. As yoda would say, "coolness they both are"

Geese:He not only set the standard for fighting game bosses he also blew it away at the same time. He's arrogant beyond belief cause he knows he's that damn good, after he'd beat your ass he'd toss you over the balcony of his tower just cause. Damn shame his son turned out the way he did though

Poochi:
Look at him, what's not to like

Earthquake. He's just so mean and oldscool, not even funny anymore. Same goes for Big Bear (not the kof incarnation in the background though)

Besides them I like Krauser (FF2), Genjuro (SS2) and Duck king (Real Bout)

Musashi Akatsuki of Gekka no Kenshi (Last Blade) - epitome of the mutherfuckin badasses, grim, dark, big, two-sword-wielder, eye-patch, got the samurai/barbarian look going there...

Yashiro/Orochi Yashiro - His voice actor was amazing...he truly brought the anger in his moves. The costume (besides that choker) was cool and confident, and his moves just made his opponent into his bitch.

Galford - A happy go lucky ninja that fights with his loyal ass kicking dog. How cool is that? They really should make a "decendant" of his fight as a KOF character.

Shingo - Unlike Yuri and Capcoms Sakura. Shingo has really worked hard to get where he is, and while he knows he is getting better...he isnt conceited about it.

Rugal - The first fighting game boss that truly taught you what an ass kicking really meant...and happily beat down 3 people instead of one.

Gato- What a bad mofo.
Shingo- a cooler kyo.
Saisyu- He would be my fav character if he had more moves.
Genjuro- Nuff Said
Setsuna- Damn cool
Iori- Cool voice acting
K'- very cool
