Ok, I just got my first CPS-2 Board - Street Fighter Zero. I'm not sure if somethings wrong with the A or B board. I'm only getting a green screen. This SHOULD work in my single slot Neo-Geo cabinet correct?

Original Post:
I just got my CPS-2 in, but I'm still awaiting SFZero in the mail. Hah, I was really suprised how big the board was, I didn't realize how big this thing was. Anyway, only means of testing I have available is my Single Slot Neo Cab. This should be compatible, yes? When I plug it in, I get a blank screen, should I be getting something else? I pressed the test button, but no effect. I could just need a cart, but I want to make sure this thing isn't broken asap.

Without game, to check if Ur A Board 's working, U should get a blank screen (blue, green or purple).

Ahh, sounds good. I got a dark pale green screen once, and I think blue another. I'll be getting the game soon hopefully.

Yeah the A board does not function without a B board. If the fan turns on, you know the power circuit is good, however thats about all you can test without a game.

Make sure the a and b board are pushed together firmly. If they are then the chances are that game board has suicided. Best way to test that is to open it and test the battery voltage with a multimeter.

Fuck, I JUST read about that before I saw your posts. Damnit, I'm pretty sure I pressed pretty firmly down on the board, so it may have suicided. I just realized the cart was supposed to come with artwork as well, I totally forgot, but it was advertised to come with artwork on ebay and didn't. I'm going to see if I can get a refund or something. I don't know if $60 is a good deal for this thing, but that's what I paid for the cart and I Think it should at least work.

Sounds like you got hosed on ebay :(

No art, even though it was supposed to have it.

Suicided cart, even though I bet it was advertised working.

All hope is not lost, however. Raz and bring CPS2 suicided games back to life. His pheonix mod is tops!

A reference to the eBay seller - J. was a known scammer and sounds like he's wondering if the scammer is back operating under yet another account name.

No where in that auction does i say that the game is working, it just says great condition. You could use the fact that no artwork was supplied as a reason for refund.

Yes I can fix suicided games, see http://cps2shock.retrogames.com/suicide.html for more info.

Ok, he was willing to refund my money, thankfully! All is well, I really didn't want to go through the process of fixing this thing, I'm thinking of selling the A Board anyway.
