Is anyone going to pick this up? It has Wi-Fi for up to four player and offers chat for friends. This will be the first DS game to offer voice chat, so it will be interesting to see how it all works.

I am not a huge Tony Hawk fan but after watching some videos of this game, I am going to pick it up.

This game was really fun at E3 & I'll definitely be picking it up. I didn't know it had voice chat.. nice.
One of my ex's best friends did a lot of work on it over at Vicarious Visions.

i saw videos of the game and it does look pretty kick ass.
i wish it was as simple to get into as jet set radio.
the whole balancing the board while grinding is tedious for me.

Well, I will have my copy today and hope to try it out tonight. I will also test out the on line portion and post if it is any good.

From what I read, Tony Hawk Downhill Jam offers voice chat during game play. (Only with friends from what I have read)

EDIT:UPS lost this package...so I may go pick the game up in a store or wait for it to come over the next couple of days. What can Brown do for you?:oh_no:

Well, I finally got around to playing this today.

It plays really well but I am not that impressed by it. There is a great sense of speed and it is easy to pull off tricks but it just doesn't blow me away as a unique take on the Tony Hawk series. (Maybe it will be better on the Wii)

I would say this is the second best racing game on the DS (after Mario Kart) but I guess I just expected more. Not all of the stages are racing as some are trick runs.

I know that IGN rated it a high 8 but I think that I like Tony Hawk American Sk8Land DS better. I have not tired out the on line portion so I will post when I get a chance to do that. There is local multi-player for up to four players but every player needs a copy of the game.
