Hi, I recently bought a Naomi/CPS2 kick harness from bill burger on ebay, but I'm not sure if it will work. here's a pic http://www.ualberta.ca/~sdbriggs/kick.jpg

Now am i incorrect in thinking that each button needs a seperate ground, yet this only has 2?

also, does anyone know which colors correspond to each function(attack)?

well, i'm still waiting for 6 button compatible games to arrive to test but any insight on this is great and if i need to buy a new kick harness.

That's an official CPS2 kick harness. You run one ground wire to every button of each player side (daisy-chain) so two wires on the harness are enough. The pic doesn't show whether the wires are loose at the other end or terminated with contacts ready to plug into the buttons. If not you'll have to crimp them yourself with above mentioned daisy chaining technique.

Download a SSF2 manual to know wire/color/function correspondences.

Ok, good to know. Well they are uncrimped wires, so if i shave off some of the plastic off the wire and solder only a couple of the ground wires to each it will still function? Or is there an easier method?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Each button must be grounded. You run one of the ground wires on the kick harness to one of the buttons and from there to another button and so on. A to B, B to C, C to D... a picture would help a lot but I don't have any at the moment.
