Repearing the C board on a cps1 game possible?

Just wondering how difficult it is to fix the c board on a cps1 game?

Somebody I know has a board and he thinks that there is a problem with the c board: white lines show up on some screens (according to him).


I am just trying to determine if this is something that I even want to attempt to fool with.
And if so what’s required?

Depends on what the problem is and which board it is...

I have one that has a few DIP chips on it, a few SOIC (Small Outline Integrated Circuit) chips on it, and one big PQFP (Plastic Quad Flat Pack) IC along with a crapload of resistor SIP packs.

They make the C boards in different sizes/shapes.

Are you sure it's the C board that is bad?

Since I am not sure, and I’m only going on someone’s word, I don’t think that I should take the risk accordign to what you said.
