I am guessing this goes in the hand held section.

Anyway, I usually use my DS Lite for portable gaming but was thinking about downloading a game or two for my cell phone.

What are some of the better games out there?

depends on the phone

I hear Doom RPG is fun

I have a handful of games on my Nokia 3220...most suck pretty hard. Might & Magic is cool, but I am totally stuck on it. Haven't played it in months

Doom is about the only game I have heard anything about. I have been thinking about down loading it but it is a little pricey. It is too bad there isn't a demo option available for cell phone games. (At least not with the phone I have)

Did anyone play Metal Slug on the cell?

I wonder if there's a forum somewhere for cell phone games?

A co-worker likes to play bejeweled.

Cell phone games aren't anything people go out their way for.

They still haven't caught up with handhelds. Hell-it took the GBA for handhelds to catch up with console.

You're right about that.

Gamefaqs and then some reviews at IGN and GameSpot is about all I can find. And...unless it is somthing like Doom RPG, there is very little information on it.

As I mentioned, I usually just play my DS Lite (and I have way too many games for that) however, I was thinking about a game or two for the cell phone just for the ability to play something anywhere for a few minutes.

Lumines Mobile sounds interesting for the cell phone....but I haven't been able to get much info on it. It is not a big deal, I will just DL a couple and if they suck it, oh well. I just though I would see if anyone here had any cell phone games that were good. (I just DL'd this and it is pretty good)

i have the metal slug game for my cell phone but its kind of buggy. the controls are hard unless your phone has a decent D-pad on it (which mine doesnt)
the games i play the most are tetris and bomberman (sometimes trivial pursuit)
its hard to find a game thats actually fun to play on a mobile

I ended up down loading three games since they are pretty cheap. I picked up Lumines, DDR and Y's Book 1. I have enjoyed all three games so far and am surprised of the quality of Lumines and Y's Book 1. Y's works really well on a cell phone since the character always swings his sword. You end up just having to move him around and try to attack from the best direction. Also, it allows you the ability to save at anytime, which is nice.

Bonk comes out this month and that looks fantastic. Hudson has done a nice job on their mobile games.

You should start a site and a forum for Cell phone games.

why not get an N-Gage!!??

Well, I already have a cell phone. And...it is nice just to down load the games right to the memory on my phone, no changing game carts out. Also...the available games is far more for my cell phone carrier than what was released on the N-gage.

The only issue I see is that as the quality of games gets better, so does the size of the down load. Right now a simple game is around 150-250K, however there are a lot of games near the 500K mark. So, I really just have to watch the space I have available.

Search torrent sites.

I have over 1,500 games for my cellphone, some are decent, some suck ass...like with anything else really.

You can find torrentpaks that have hundreds to thousands of cell phone games all bundled together :)

I just down loaded Bonks Return today and it is very good. The graphics are very nice and over all I am pretty impressed with it. The controls are not the best but I guess that is to be expected in a cell phone game. Too bad they didn't put this out on the DS.

I saw an ad for those Hudson games in EGM and I must admit they look impressive.

Yes, Hudson has done a really nice job with the mobile games they have put out. I just wish that companies like Hudson would do the same thing on a system like the DS. I know that they have things in the works but I would love to play Bonks Return on a system with a real D pad.
