When AES games were sold on the store shelves were they sealed somehow?
Back during the days when they would be on the store shelves of EB or..etc.
If they were sealed or so,Does anyone own a sealed copy of a AES game?

To my knowledge none I remeber were shrinkwrapped. They had the "Neo Geo" sticker on them to hold them closed in the middle. And I believe the snap lock case games had the sticker running along the side. Though I thought I remember hearing about some of the original games having some sort of shrinkwrapping on them I don't recall seeing any of those on store shelves back in the early 90's.

the actual carts were shrinkwrapped inside the case

some of the games i ahve bought have also been in a protective bag

i ahve only ever received 4 games where the cart was shrinkwrapped and 1 game where the entire case was in a bag

I got a used game where it still had the protective bag that went over the entire case. That's the only one I've ever gotten though. Might be a regional thing.

Some Japanese stores shrink wrapped either the cart or the case. Trader is a good example of a retailer who shrink wraps homecarts.

To my knowledge SNK did not shrink wrap games at all. Carts that arrive in shrink wrap or boxes that do, have been so done by a third party.

All old style case games were sealed by SNK with a large sticker with the Neo•Geo logo (in white) printed on it. This applied to both US/Euro and Jap games.
This sticker was also applied for a short while to Japanese snap-lock games until phased out some time in 1996.

A much smaller black sticker with a colour Neo•Geo logo was used on many 1996 snap lock releases, but by 1997 SNK had ceased bothering to seal snap-locks. The new sticker is so small it's pretty unsuprising they stopped.

Seals on snap locks is pretty sporadic - just like the whole warranty card issue.
