AW Neo Geo Battle Coliseum not saving button config

I just got this game for my AW, and if I change the button set-up in the configuration screen, for some reason it's not saved and it's back to default when I play the game.

I think we already discussed about this problem but I can't find the thread.

Any help? Thanks.

EDIT: I've been messing around, put Neowave to check it saved OK (and it did), then put back NGBC and now works
