Does my old Xbox live account transfer over?

I've been paying for live on Xbox for over a year without even using it from my old box. I'm about to get 360... can I transfer the old info over to the new one, or is it an all new account?

You can transfer it over. When setting up your 360, it will ask if you
already have an xbox live account.

Yeah you can but it is super easy if you have your XBL tag linked to a MSN account. Then its about 5 seconds of set up. Otherwise it takes a bit longer.

It amazes me how many people have ditched their old Xbawkses when 360 came out. There's still plenty of fighters and stuff like Phantom Dust that doesn't work on the 360 to play online, isn't there? I've never heard anybody mention if Halo 2 is compatible with 360. If it isn't, @ Microsoft. Lazy fucks. All GC games work on Wii, and most PS2 games will work on PS3. No excuses.
