0.1uf 25v cap needed

HI guys i did a stupid thing and mucked up a few bits from my mod kit, I've managed to get 2 of the resistor and need to hunt for the led i blow but i've been trying to search for the 0.1uf cap's, I had some sent from rs but they are about 1mm in size and every time i try to solder them they just snap, Any ideas guys in the uk maplins are hopeless by the way.

Is there anything i can replace it with if i can't get hold of them, I'm banging my head on the guys here please help .

O,.k can i brake a 50v cap down to a 25v????

A .1 microfarad radio or axial capacitor should not be hard to find unless you live in the jungles of Africa.

As for the voltage rating of the capacitor, you can use a 50 volt capacitor in the place of a 25 volt capacitor but not the other way around
