I like most of you have been having troubles with some sellers here recently. I have a quick and easy question. Please forgive me if this is not the correct forum but....

How does one do a charge-back on Paypal? Please let me know if anyone can help.

Much thanks,

Phil

if you have sent money to someone for something and that person didn't come through on their end of the deal, you can goto "History" and it'll show all your recent transactions and will allow you to cancel transfers as long as they have been done within 30 days.
although sometimes(and i'm not sure why) it won't let you cancel transactions and you have to try and get ahold of PayPal by phone and work the matter out.

search under fraud protection
1) must be within 30 days
2) if u didn't recieve the goods

if u did recieve the goods and the seller has proof of mailing, then most likely ur screwed and have to go the legal route (non-paypal) -- unless he is a known scammer and they figure that out.

so basically if u say something like its not a mint cart or its missing something its ur word against his and paypal won't do anything.

ONLY BUY FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOADS OF GOOD REFERENCES ON HERE!!!!!!

I have been waiting a month, as of today for a 1 slot and it was supposedly mailed to the wrong city :( I should get my money back on Wednesday from the guy, but who knows....

Buying online is really risky if buying from a solo person on ebay or some forum.....or from buy-rite....which should be renamed "BYE-RIGHT?" because that's what you will be saying to your money, lol

always look at reference!!

besides that... the paypal thing is under fraud protection, and it's 30 days after payment like said above.

If you file and then talk to the guy and he wants you to cancel it so he can send you money via paypal...since they freeze their account...but not yours...be careful, because once that thing is cancelled, you can't file it again. Just be aware of that. I have had a friend fall for that one and he was pissed! The guy said "cancel the complaint so I can send you the money and get this over with." So he did and the guy just laughed at him and never talked with him again :(

I hope you get your stuff or your money...

I HATE PEOPLE WHO SELL STUFF AND SCAM!!!! especially online, because buyers allready feel volnurable(sp?) as it is.

I can't believe there are so many fucking scammers around these days. Everytime I look there is a thread about someone getting scammed.

Please do let us know who this jerkoff is that has taken your money, so we can put them on our blacklist. oh_no

Good luck to you...
