Paik4Life said:ray, if you go to their page, they have a picture tutorial. If you're still not comfortable doing it, then you could ask someone again. I looked through the tutorial yesterday and it's not anything crazy. The hardest part might be going out and buying the "triangular screwdriver."
I don't personally like how it looks but it seems a lot of people like transparent or translucent cases for their electronics goods. Seeing PCBs doesn't really excite me any, but at least it's different. The other colors they offer are pretty boring so I guess this one is your best bet if you want to swap out the case.

roker said:I just put on a new case for my little cousin's old style DS and it was the hardest fucking thing to do. I thought I messed it up, but then I found out that the top LCD cable is VERY SENSITIVE, so I used some double sided glue and got it to stay put so I could put the cover on.
few things to note about after market replacement covers:
-the material is NEVER as good as the original's
-screws will get stripped, holes will get stripped. It's a good idea to have some crazy glue on hand
-nothing is easy and if you take off something incorrectly . . . well, say good bye. I was fortunate. I found out that I bent one of the battery receptor spring when I was pulling it apart. I bent it back and the fucker worked
I'd never attempt something like this again.
I'll post pics if I get a chance though
). If both screens and the battery aren't connected the system won't boot.

Just make sure you're VERY careful disconnecting and reconnecting the ribbon cable connections for each screen. Those will snap in an instant, and when they do it's all over (unless you use super glue). If both screens and the battery aren't connected the system won't boot.

the slightest touch of that cable, and the screen goes pink, colors are messed up, or it won't work at all
like I said, I'd never do it again
then again, I never do this kind of stuff
I bet you built your own supergun
