Anyone here know what sort of joysticks are used in the NEO-GEO red cabinets?? I have a pic here of the cabinet i have, and also a pic of the stick panel, the problem with them is that something was learning against them for a few months and they now want to lean on a slight downward angle...
So here is a pic of the panel, so you can tell what type im refering to(not the X-ARCADES);

And here are the pics of the type of cabinet....

I actually always liked these sticks cause they were always very easy to do the moves on fighting games with, and i prefer the square base type. If anyone knows where i can get some of these or something that will be the same or better can you recomend them? (also a link would be good!!)

Thanks in advance

If you had a pic of the base I could be sure, but it looks like a Happ Competition stick with a different handle. That cabinet isn't a US one IIRC, so it'll probab;y be pretty hard to find an exact replacement.

I use Competitions in all of my stuff, and I like them the best personally, but YMM, as always, V.

No mate, its the Australia/Pacific model. I have a few more pics of the panel here:

The top part of the stick itself seems to be molded onto the steel stick rather than screwed on. The "spring" that centres the stick is some kind of rubber/foam. The sticks are the orignal ones fitted to all those Australian 4 slotter cabinets, as well as the 6 slotters.

Have a look here http://www.hardmvs.com/html/cabphotos.htm and it has pictures of the cabinets from different countries..

Thanks mate, i was asking a bloke today that has one of those skill tester machines in the club i work for if he is able to get any parts for these type machines, he is looking into it for me, but he said some of the stuff he used to get from a company called SUZO, and just looked at the stick again today, that is actually written on the top flat suface..... Anyone know anything about that?

Good stuff mate yeah, New Guinea had the same cabinets we have here in Australia. i remember when i got my 4 slotter the player one stick was abit lazy, so i wrapped abit of tape around it where it goes through the foam spring which brought it back to life again, back as i say, there has been something leaning on them both and holding them in the down position which has made them both lazy for the down position now, and the tape trick wont fix it!!

Your cabs are in top condition by the way, they both look very good!!

That Happ stick looks alot like the ones i have in my 2 X-ARCADE solos, the one thing i dont like about them is they have a smooth round motion to them, which makes it abit harder to know exactly which direction youre pushing if the joystick moves, although id imagine that would be much less of an issue in a cabinet.
