Hello :)

I bought a Blazing Star Soundtrack like this over ebay (because i love the game & sound) :
http://cgi.ebay.de/BLAZING-STAR-Gam...goryZ187QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Does anyone know if this should be 100% original ?

It was released in 1997 and the one i have is like this one on the picture, original "zip-sealed" - and printing looks original (no unsharp stuff) - so i somehow dont want to open it (for now) ...

I cant imagine that someone could make enormous profite by producing blazing star bootleg soundtrack cds ... dont think that much people buy that kind of cd.

Thanks for any shared experiences :)
Regards

It's real. I can see the Japanese item number in the picture.

yeah looks orginal although Dash no Chris is the expert on this type of stuff. usally there are not many CD bootlegs that I know of just reprints to a cheaper quality like from Everanime or one of the other Korean, tawian companies. If I recall they are legal just some company bought the rights to release and reprinted the stuff. kinda like columbia house DVD's, CD's.

No matter what the subject matter is, Hong Kong bootleg CDs are produced so cheaply, there's always profit to be made. Over the years, I've seen some pretty obscure, niche-y CDs get bootlegged, and of course a knockoff Pulstar CD would've been produced when the original Japanese CD was still new and more in demand.

That being said, I agree that this seller's Pulstar CD appears to be completely legitimate. In looking thru this and other auctions from this seller, his CDs bear none of the hallmarks of a bootleg -- his stock looks to be completely legitimate (a refreshing thing to see on eBay).

@Big Bruno: I've finally managed to track down the Shin'ouken/Ragnagard CD in this mess of a gameroom -- if you PM me your current mailing address, I'll ship it out to you.

It's because the items are located in Japan. There's your reason.

Curse my steadily deteriorating German language capabilities! They cause me to fearfully skip all text (including the part in English that states "shipping from Japan") and just look at pictures.:eek_2:

I wonder what the Blazing Star soundtrack is like. The music is low sample quality recorded in the game, so I wonder if it's just the same thing at a better sampling rate on the CD. The music loops an awful lot in the game too, so I wonder if the CD tracks are longer.

Well i dont know, i somehow dont want to open it for now... didnt buy a second one to be sealed forever :/
I got the soundtrack from a friend first, who downloaded it from the net somewhere, which already sounded good - and then i searched and bought the original one.

But i hope it plays well - as long as the disc isn`t damaged mechanically !
