PSP: Gran Turismo Mobile stopped

It seems they stopped development on GTM, due to poor sales, and focus on other games.

It s sad since a good gran turismo for psp would be a killer app, but they didn t can the thing, just put on hold, so maybe next year ... but then again maybe not.

Yeah, I've been watching for this one. Originally I believe it was going to be titled "Gran Turismo 4," or some variant. "Gran Turismo Mobile" makes it sound like it's not just a straight port of the PS2 game. Gran Turismo games are usually delayed, and I'll bet they're just trying to get it right. Or else maybe they've noticed there are already plenty of racing games on the platform, so they're holding out for a time when new racers dry up. It's a shame though, because the release really might help stimulate some PSP sales. I really can't understand why the DS is outselling the PSP by as much as it is.

To be honest I think it is for the best. I'm a huge GT fan, but I really don't think it would have worked on a portable format.

I'd rather they put the development time into GT HD instead.

gran turismo was the reason i bought a psx in the first place so it would probably take another GT game to get me to buy a psp as well

I'm betting this got put on hold because of the PS3 GT. Sony probably made 'em drop everything for it.

Even if they were working on the PS3 Gran Turismo game, it still seems stupid to put it on hold. How many years have they been working on the PSP version, like 3 or 4?

For me it was the only upcoming game worth holding onto a PSP for. Now that it's in limbo, I may as well sell mine altogether.

thats what i've heard too. its all good. i'll probably be
playing the classic on psxp before then (to hold me over).
