Whats up everybody,
I had brought this up before, however I was given incorrect answers. It is believed that a No CD Third Strike can be used to rewrite the memory simms just like any other CPS3 game, this is incorrect.
I have 2 NoCD Third Strike cartridges at the moment, and 3 different motherboards on which I conducted my research. One of the NoCD Carts is Asian, one is Japanese. When you select Memory Rewrite from the test menu, the system just resets, even when the CD Drive w/ original CD is plugged in.
I have come to the conclusion that in order to write the simms on a No CD game, you need the CD Version security cartridge. After the simms are burned, you then switch the cartridge from the CD Version to the No CD Version.
I have a CD Version comming in the mail early next week. I'll test my theory, which i'm 95% possitive its correct, and post the results.
