I've already have the NEO on my PSP, but I can't figure out how to get the Genesis going on it. The emulator starts, but it doesn't recognize the roms. Unlike the NEO emulator, there isn't a ROM folder. I would appreciate any help.

Are you using pspgenesis? I think with that one, you have to unzip the roms into the root folder with the emulator. The file it needs should be a .smd or .bin file.

DGEN for PSP ver.1.6

Just dump all the roms (zipped) into the DGEN folder and it should work. No roms folder needed, iirc.

Already done that and they don't show up in the menu. I also tried reloading emulator.

I unzipped the file and now it shows the rom, but I don't know to start it or even know what file to place it in. I opened the rom folder itself and I get all the components of the game.individually.

Well there were 2 releases of Dgen one for 1.0 systems and another for 1.5.

unless you have a 1.0 you need the one for 1.5 systems which includes 2 folders
(im just going through the steps, if you know this i dont care and dont need you to tell me)

folders are generally
dgen160
dgen160%

I think they released it ready for no corruption icons so they dont look like the above, the point is to have 2 folders one with the % sign.

in the folder WITHOUT the % sign you can drop your roms. I extract my zips and put the bin files in there: example
Gunstar Heroes (U) [!].bin
Mickey Mouse - Castle of Illusion (U) [!].bin

when i launch the emu the first screen that pops up shows the 2 roms files, highlight and push O to begin emulation.

pretty simple.

Sorry to bump this old thread... But, is anybody else having trouble running DGen on their PSPs now that they have 3.02 OE B?

In theory, now you can just put the eboot in a folder with all the roms, right? No need for the whatever% folder anymore... The program starts up, but it freezes when I go to load a game. Any help is much appreciated.

I just copied over all the 1.5(firmware)ver files to the game folder. Works fine for me. Current version of the emu is 1.7

Ah, I see... Did you include the DGen% folder too?

Are you using 1.0 eboot or 1.5?

If using 1.5,then you must include the kxpolit (%).
