Sonic Rush DS Worth Getting?

I saw this new in my local shop today for the equivalent of 17 USD.

Should I grab it?

i love it. i've spent more time with it than new super mario for sure.

if you're a sonic fan i'd definitely recommend it.

I think its great! Gets a little frustrating in the later levels though. Be prepared to play some levels over and over until you get 'em just right.

I didn't like it. It suffers from cheap-death-syndrome more than any game I can remember playing in recent memory.

Looks nice and plays like classic Sonic, but the levels just seem designed to rape you repeatedly.

Which is cool if you're into that kind of thing, but I got frustrated with it and went back to NSMB.

Maybe that explains why it is so cheap.

I'll stick with Gokumakaimura for instant death type gameplay

It's a great game, especially if you like Sonic, but there are definitely some cheap deaths (as is true with all Sonic games IMO).

If you've played Sonic Advance series on GBA & enjoyed thoes, get this.

The game is over all really good. It suffers from some instant death but its actualy heavly improved over Sonic Advance 2 & 3 which were just horible for instant death.

Hmm, it seems to be a love it or hate it type of affair.

For the money I am tempted. Last Sonic game I bought was probably the one for the NGPC.

I'm going to sell several DS games soon. All complete and mint.

Sonic Rush will be one of them. Being an old 16bit Sonic fan, I was disappointed.

hahah.
the reason to play the old sonics were the speed.
the new one is fast. and i really don't remember it being
more harder than any of the old sonics.
in fact it seemed easier, and the new tricks he has is pretty fun too.
my only qualm would be the boss battles which can get kind of monotonous
and long. but their neat break from the 2 d aspect of things.
