EDIT: I'll take $60 shipped (inside the US) for this now.

I just got this last week and, after some intermittent usage, I've decided I don't want it.

It works just fine, it's just that I have a DS Lite and it sticks out the bottom of the system (like a GBA cart does) so it's a bit bulkier than I'd like. Also, I've found that using my DS as a media player is much less interesting than I originally thought it would be.

This is the 1GB version and includes the Max Media Player cart, USB cable, and manual. There was no PC software included.

Datel wants $79 + shipping for these so I'd like to get $60 shipped (inside the US) for this one. Payment by PayPal is preferred (no extra fee) but I'll take a money order as well.

It uses Moonshell for video playback, which only supports its DPG format (you have to convert videos before you can play them).

Pretty much anything that can be played in Windows (with a DirectShow codec) can be converted with BatchDPG or the original DPGEnc.

If someone wants to make me an offer on this, I'm open to reasonable suggestions.

could you comment on how useful this is for non-media purposes (sorry I don't know much about this stuff)
and it is in mint condition right?

thanks

It's absolutely in mint condition. Like I said, I used it about 3 times over the course of about a week and then put up this thread (it's been back in the original packaging since then).

As for non-media purposes ... with the use of a program / patcher called Max Overload, you can get some DS roms to work on it. Also, the Media Player cart works as a Passme so you can boot other flash cards too (besides the dock). I only dabbled in this a little as it wasn't my main interest. I can say it does work for that, though.

I didn't try any homebrew other than Moonshell since I got the impression that most of it was too unfinished to work properly on any device (slow emulators with no sound, etc).

There's more discussion of that here (compatability lists, etc).

Last bump before it goes to eBay ... I'll take $50 shipped inside the US for it now.
