Dman, that's a slick setup with some nice parts to boot. Where's all the extra money when I need it?

nifty. I wish they just had an audio out though instead of the internal speakers (It probably does, I don't know). that's easily fixed though.

Ive seen that before, pretty cool but I dont the internal apeakers, and its S-video out only. I also dont think the measurement of the box are wide enough to supoort 2 players comfortably. Other then that, probably worth the $500.

Cool, he actually did it. I remember this guy talking about building an MVS in a box on the forum a while ago, and I thought he came to conclusion that it wasn't economically feasable, but I guess he must have changed his mind or something.

I remember mentioning to him that putting an MVS inside of a small box might not be the best idea because shaking an MVS board will cause the cart to come loose and display graphic glitches and whatnot. I guess he figured a way around that one too, or maybe it wasn't as big of a problem as I thought it would be.

The price seems a little high to me, but I'm sure there's someone out there who would want it.

No select button mean no PAUSE :(

Very nice.
I used to own something similar to that back in the mid 90's when MAS used to do the custom jobs. It was configured for Street Fighter II and was dressed with SF2 character illustrations.
My preference would be something like that with removable sticks locked in place.

lol I did the same too! It looks really cool and 3 dimensional but it's just a load of layers moving back and forth at different rates. Very neat trick!

Blah, not these Arcade-in-a-Box things again. These are always on ebay. I'd get annoyed having the joysticks always attached to the system, instead of being able to switch them out. They always sell the consolized Golden Tee systems too.

Now people are saying how sweet it looks.
Exactly. I don't believe anybody here knew what the end result was going to be. There was just discussion,no end product. Now that we have a visual,it appears to be solid craftsmanship with a nice tradional look and the market will determine what it's worth anyway.

I've never actually sold a colonized Golden Tee anywhere, never even put one together. Though I have seen some on ebay and was not really fond of the craftsmanship. Does make a bit sad that people would actually think that came from me.

I have sold one jamma box that was dedicated to Street Fighter CE. Other than that I always have my Arcade-In-A-Box units on ebay basically for advertising.

This is the one and only NeoGeo MVS I have built just to see a few things. 1. What the final cost would be and 2. Would it be cost effective to try and sell.

I'll leave it on the store for a while, if it doesn't sell I have no problem keeping it for my personal use ;).

I do appreciate all the nice comments in this thread. I would have no problem making RCA out for the audio, it's just everything I have read on jamma says not too because there is a risk of damaging your tv or stereo do to the already amplified audio signal leaving the board. If that's wrong, then cool. But I can't take the risk of someone having their stereo cranked too loud when they turn it on blowing it up. It's a liability thing for me as a business, that's all.

BTW, here is a picture of the inside. And the joysticks are 13" apart from center to center. IF someone has a StandUP Neo Geo cab, if they could measure that for me I sure would appreciate it. I can make some modifications if I make more in the future.

This picture was taken before the RGB Encoder was hooked up. And before the front magnetic latch was put into place. Also, I was waiting on a shipment of new yellow buttons, so the ones in there are not hooked up as they were used buttons.

Thanks again for looking and giving some feedback.

Sorry for attributing those machines to you. I thought it was basically the same concept, and falsely thought you were the one making most of them, for some reason.

I shouldn't have been so negative about this MVS setup. I can see how some people might like it.

You can make an "Attenuation Circuit" to remedy this. I can post the circuit later if you want. I probably will anyway.

edit: here we are:

You can replace the resistors with potentionometers for fine-tuning. I'm not sure of the exact type though.
