Anyone picking up SF 2 for Arcade Live?

It comes out Wednesday. Even though I suck at SF, I am thinking about picking this up for the on line play.

I am. And I really need to add some more of you guys into my friendlist. Didn't know who was playing GRAW, but I definitely want in on that action.

At one time, I was really really used to Hyper Fighting, but I might've lost some stuff since then. I do remember some of the specific nasty stuff for Blanka, though.

If the lag is alright, I'll definately get it. I've been playing Geometry Wars Evolved and Robotron 2084 a lot. I REALLY love robotron, I find I can get farther than I could when I was a kid.

I play a decent E. Honda, would love to play some games, I'll have to get a stick, is the DOA stick the only one available??? well lets play soon!

I'm sure I'll get it. I bought Galaga last week and love the port. Pac-Man is what I'm really jonesing for though.

By the way, have you heard of them finishing up the one for NeoGeo Battle Colleseum? I know they know how to tear up in that game (I played against one of the members who played a really mean Marco), but I've been waiting for them to release something on it.

I definitely want to get it, but I don't want to play with the standard Xbox 360 controller. I've been playing for about 2 weeks on the Microsoft's staging servers, and I really feel like I need a stick. Are there any Xbox 360 arcade sticks other than the DOA4 Hori stick?

I am not aware of any other sticks out there, unless there is a modded one. I am going to down load this tomorrow but the controller is a concern for me as well.

However, I suck at SF, so it really won't make much of a difference in the end.

On Robotron I'm trying to get to wave 10, I'm not too good. But add me, what's ur gamer tag? I tend to ignore friend requests from people I don't know.

Nice. I wanted to stay up late enough to down load it but I was too tired. I will DL this in a few hours when I officially wake up for the day.

To anyone who has this, how is the lag? That could be a deal breaker for me.

I have only played two matches on Live so far but I had no problems.

My bigger problem was challenging people to matches again and again and having them refuse them. For the two matches I played, I created the match and that seemed to work better.

I tried the quarter matches a couple of times but got booted out. Also...I really didn't follow that set up, so if someone has played the quarter matches, please post some impressions.

Just been playing, even worse than I did over ten years ago.

The lag doesn't cause anything like choppy animation or obvios interpolation. There do seem to be issues with timeouts though but I have only noticed when playing ppl from different continents(the states so far but may be on to play the others later).

Anyway add me if you want some easy wins, I'm rubbish at SF2.

I just played a quarter match. didnt get to watch the match in progress though, it just said match in progress on the screen. everyone quit before i got a game, so i dont know if you have to see a game start to watch it online.

I created a quarter match and had a few matches, but others kept joining and quitting, before the other player finally gave up.

Ok just played about 15 matches online, some impressions.

Lag seems to be the same as earlier xbl 2D fighters. You fight someone with a shit connection it can be laggy, fight someone with a good connection, and it's pretty good.

Dropping issue is the same as before, which is ridiculous. Someone dropped on me in my 3rd or so match, and I got a loss for it. Not sure why the fuck Capcom can't figure this one out. Either give no win/loss if someone drops, or give the dropper the loss, and the other person a win or even nothing would be fine.

Playing in ranked matches, seems you can't create a match and invite people from your friends list. Kinda retarded, but I suppose this is done so someone with 2 360's and 2 accounts can't rack up wins. So I guess if you want to fight people you know it has to be unranked, which is not really a big deal.

You also can't see the opponents gamertag when selecting someone to fight in ranked matches. You don't see it until after the fight is over and there is no option for a rematch. I guess it's because of the same thing as above, to stop people from easily upping their stats.

And I got a lot of 'could not connect' in ranked matches. This could be due to the fact that the person already found a match though.

Lots of noobs online right now. I double perfected someone. I did run into a good Dhalsim, and since I didn't have my mic plugged in, I could hear his voice through the TV. He beat me, but after the match, he was like "good game, good game" like he was surprised to fight someone who knew what they were doing.

The Hori DOA4 stick is not that good. Better than the pad for sure, but I need to get me a custom stick for 360 built.

Well, I have played 8 ranked matches now (2-6) and I have had a pretty good over all experience. I have not run into the dropping problems because I suck.

I have been hearing that people dropping has been going on a lot, so I hope that someone addresses the issue. My wins will be few and far between and I don't want to miss out on a win

I was a little surprised that there is no rematch option at the end of a ranked match. That may just be so that you don't rack up a lot of wins off one person willing to stay in there and lose over and over again.

Anyway...I think it has been worth the $10.
