How noticeable is the difference between, say, a PS2 game that natively supports 480p and a PS2 game upconverted to 480p? On of my pet peeves is that playing games at 480i on my projector kind've has a motion-blur effect. It's not nearly as smooth as games running in 480p, and I'm looking for something to fix it...
Also, did you try any other "old" consoles (snes, pc engine, etc etc)?
The games played the same 480p was 480p. The native 480p is identical to the upconverted 480p. Nice bright clear picture. I played games that were normally 480i and had them put into 480p and it looked great I thought, but I bought it for the NeoGeo specifically so... I didnt like what I got. The PS3 will naturally play the games in high res so I dont need it now.
It does not seem to work for NES, TG-16, Genesis, Neo-Geo or Amiga CD32. It might work on SNES I honestly cant recall. It does work on 3DO, Phillips CD-i, Sega Saturn, PSOne, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, and Im assuming it works for Xbox and 360 but I dont buy that so I cant say for sure. I do not yet own a projector yet so I dont know about the motion blur effect.
