I know of one other one. Yep, BNC.

You can see in that thread I tried to get it.... Wasn't interested in selling.

:crying: All I want to do is play MotM on a large screen. :crying:

I've already tried to figure a way to make the screen into a projector, but since the screen is a reflective lcd instead of a transmissive or transflective that's not going to happen. The screen has a layer behind the lcd that works like a mirror to reflect light back towards the user, and pretty much block all light being transmitted from the back.

Has anyone tried to find the RGB lines to the lcd like that Gamegear project?

I see your name on that thread now. :D

I think Dion Dakis has (or had?) one of these. I remember one other person posting with one to prove Dion wrong, in that Dion didn't have the only one. I don't remember where I saw this, or if the other person was the same guy from the assembler forums link.

And for the record, I really want one too.

Its called the PocketStation and the other person that said they had one turned out to be a sorry liar, and tried to use doctored pics we released way back to prove they had one. I called them out and they ran away - this was at some UK site.

It was really funny though, as I remember looking at the pics and thinking they looked really familiar!!

It is one of probably 50-100 items that reside in the NGF archives that are pretty much gone forever everywhere else. There may have been one or two of something produced (something like the NGF mat), but we pretty much snagged up everything we could in the liquidation(first hand in Japan at SNK facilities), and if it were not for us, this stuff would be gone forever.

I still need to find this out. If anyone knows the pinout for the LCD connector let me know.

Well, I've been checking out the ngpc's circuit board and there are a ton of easy prelabeled solder points. If you know what the labels mean then you've got it made.

All of those points on the right are connected to the lcd.

I sent Toshiba (the ngpc's cpu manufacturer) an enquiry about the cpu and they were really helpful! They told me that it was no longer in production and that's it. :tickled:

The Pocketstation remains in the NGF archives. Back in the day there was an $8000 offer for the unit that was turned down. Today it falls in one of those "who knows" categories. When you have things like this they could fetch $500 on ebay, or $10K to some dedicated collector. Either way it is a great piece of history.

BTW - I was able to an adapter I made to play NGPC games on my Super Neo 29 Type 2 cabinet (through the Pocketstation).

HAH Match of the millenium on a candy, thats dope.

Yeah a case in point example of a dedicated collector item is that Hotel Unit that sold for $700 on ebay. Past ones sold for $1500+, I guess the timing was bad on the seller's part.
