Need help in identifying a game

Years ago i used to play the game at a local arcade store, it's a hack-and-slash game, i don't know it's name or the game's manufacturer but I'm almost sure that it's not a noted company.

If i remember correctly, the game play start shortly after a dragon fly across the screen, you can play as an armored knight with a morning star or as a warrior with a pitch fork(other characters might be available), the view of the game isn't like any regular scroller games (horizontal or vertical view), it's more like diablo games view, but again I'm not sure.

sorry about the vague explanations, but i would be most appreciated if someone identify this game.

Could be one of the Gauntlet sequels maybe?

No, it's not the gauntlet series (spirits too small) nor D&D(not the capcom games), i played this game 12 years ago but i'm sure it had detailed spirits.

But unfortunately it wasn't Golden Axe series either, i found it while i was searching the MAME database by accident:

Dark Seal 2





It got superior graphic for it's time, i really enjoy that game and i'm glad to find it at last.

Nuts -- that's exactly the game I was going to guess, until Golden Axe was suggested; at that point, I figured it must be GA so I kept my big mouth shut.
