That's the craziest thing I've seen. It looks like it never had a 2nd slot, way to clean looking to have been removed.NGT said:

Neo Ash said:I would not worry about it, you got a good deal.
Magnaflux said:Do you need another slot for that thing?
I have some spares I'm not using.
JMKurtz said:You might want to take Magnaflux up on the connectors as I can't find anything.
This is the part that fits the AES :
http://catalog.tycoelectronics.com/TE/bin/TE.Connect?C=1&M=BYPN&PID=10135&PN=1-530841-1&I=13
I was hoping they would have them in 60 pins, but couldn't find anything.
Digikey used to sell the 50 pos for the AES (1-530841-1), but now you need to order over 900 pcs of them at once, and at $11ea, well, no thanks.
Good luck.

did anyone ever figure out how to have one slot AES and one slot MVS?
MKL said:Hirose is a Japanese connectors manufacturer (with branches in other countries, including USA). RS is just a distributor, they carry some Hirose parts but not these connectors.
chris1 said:Cool,Bro..I didn't know you were getting a two slot..
What are you putting this in ?

JMKurtz said:It's a diode -- which allows current to flow in one direction. Not sure why it would be on there like that. You can remove it without any issues.

Note that you need two to make one slot.
