dialhex shoud be redone and expanded. It totaly could become nintendo's answer to lumines (specialy since meteos is nothing like lumines).

Massive bump but I picked up two of these pretty cheap from Play-Asia last week and both of them are great fun!! The two I bought after reading reviews and checking out on-line videos were Dialhex and Dotstream and I'm super happy with both.

I played Dotstream first and the visual style was great, very simple to play but actually quite difficult as the game progresses, I played for about half an hour and got through the first GP and unlocked some extra something or other, neat little power-ups can be gained mid-race Mario Kart style and include a Star Power ability (invincibility) that lets you go straight through obstacles in your path.

I then played Dialhex which I couldn't really grasp that well from videos but it looked good and I love my puzzle games so I thought I'd pick it up and I have to say I'm very glad I did! As mentioned its like a cross between the usual puzzle suspects like Tetris, Meteos, Lumines and crew but is different enough to feel fresh accompanied by its visual style again and pretty neat music I found myself stuck in a game for near 45 minutes :) Simple controls either L+R to rotate your selected Hex or A+B and you have to make a Hex of colour (starts off with two and build more as you get more of each of the colour Hex's)

Both games look great, play great, sound great and have that simple to learn hard to master feeling about them, they also have the addition of some good unlock-ables to further the life of the games, but all in all a great little series :)

One last thing was the packaging which was so well made with there stylish little boxes and trays has to be one of my favourite box's and box art that I've seen!

Olly.
