AES to MVS Conversion question..

Today I ordered a AES to MVS conversion of Senogku 3. I know the rom chips inside MVS and AES carts are the same, I was just curious if using a reverse converted cart will allow me to add credits like all other MVS games, or do reverse AES conversions keep the credit limit the home games have?

I've never purchased a conversion cart before and though I was skepticle, the seller assures that it's all legit SNK parts and I've had a hell of a time finding the game so decided to break down and buy it. Anyway, thanks ahead of time for any information.

This makes... no sense. Who would turn a $150 homecart into an $80 arcade cart? Fuckin' idiots, that's who.

ki,

More than likely the Sengoku 3 homecart was used as a Sac cart. So the remaining Sengoku 3 chips were soldered to a MVS boardset. Sengoku 3 as well as FF3 and Sam Sho 2&3 are used alot for homecart conversions.

I forgot about that, they use the Sengoku 3 AES boards to make SSVS & Metal Slug 5 conversions/boots and such.

It has nothing to do with AES or MVS carts, it is a system bios issue.

Thats what I figured but I was just being safe. Thanks for the help people.

Now heres to hoping everything went well in the conversion process, if so I think buying it for 60 bucks was a steal.

As well as a lot of encrypted carts.

Yeah, that's why I used SSVS and Metal Slug 5 as an example. All of the AES Sengoku 3's will probably be used up if this kind of crap continues. Hell, I might need to buy some and sit on them for a few years and watch them appreciate.

Samurai Special is harder to come buy on MVS than AES, and the price is getting higher than the AES one. Making an SSVS AES out of an MVS would be dumb.
