Anyone have DS-Lite AC Adaptor 'shriek?'

'Cos my DS-Lite AC Adaptor has been giving off a very high-pitched whine for a while, for the longest time I couldn't figure out what was giving off that sound, I thought it may have been mosquitoes or something like that, but today I brought my head close to the AC Adaptor and heard that whine... as soon as I unplugged it, the whine stopped.

I'm nervous that I have a defective AC Adaptor and going to have to ask Nintendo for a replacement.

They make AC adaptors that are shaped like Shrek?

When I worked at Syntega, we used to call them "Wall bugs." :kekeke:

Seriously man, this is an annoying issue, do you have a DS-Lite? Test out the AC adaptor and see if you don't hear that high-pitched whine/shriek/whatevar you want to call it.

I can honestly say I have never heard of any kind of AC adapter ever doing that.

Mine doesn't do that, and it's been plugged in since I bought it. I wouldn't think they would give you any trouble about it.

Never had that problem with my AC adapter, but I HAVE seen it with Desktops. I have an older Dell Desktop that does this when it's plugged in and turned off. It's always been that way. I think the issue has to deal with too much power running through the line, so in my case it's been ok.

In any case, I'd still recommend checking with Nintendo.

Bloody amazing man, I emailed them yesterday, got a reply today, and was asked to call their toll free hotline... open 7 days a week! Holy shit man, so I like, called, explained the problem to them, the guy on the other side was really really patient --- I think he must be a buddha --- and told me that this did not seem normal at all with the AC Adaptor, said they'll send me a pre-paid UPS label, asked me to send my DS-Lite and the AC Adaptor to them, and they'll send it back to me once they finished addressing the problem. Now that is customer service done right man. My favorable opinion of Nintendo just graduated to the next level.
