I have an extra Sony brand "High Speed" 2GB Pro Duo Memory Stick here.

Includes packaging, it has been opened and used, but only rarely. Which is why I'm thinking of selling it, not really using it enough to bother keeping it.

I'm considering selling it pretty cheap, is anyone here interested in one? Asking $60 + shipping.

Just let me know if interested. Thanks.

Awesome price, specially if it's a real original one, I would buy it if I hadn't bought a fake one on ebay for about the same price last month.

I am interested too! I don't have a PSP yet (will soon though) so I know I will need to get a Memcard.

Wait a sec, I bought this on ebay a while ago, but it was for more than I'm asking.

It's a JPN Sony branded card, complete with packaging etc. Even has the holographic Sony logo on the packaging. And it's been working fine, mostly used it for movies and music.

But out of curiosity, how can you tell a fake one from real? Because if this IS a fake then I don't want to resell it here to anyone. Please tell me what to look for.

Thanks.

OK, BIG gave me this link about pirated Sony cards:

http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php?t=59400

I'm very disgusted to say I got ripped off by a pirate. This card works fine, and I thought it was real. But it shows 1979MB when formatted, which is more than the real one is supposed to show, so I'm pretty sure it's not real now.

Sorry, I'm not selling it now for obvious reasons.

At least this is a good warning thread for people - DO NOT BUY MEMORY CARDS ON EBAY! :blow_top:

I guess I'm lucky it works, I'll just keep it for watching movies I guess.

Yeah, yours is exactly the same as the one I bought in ebay to a Hong Kong dealer, I already knew it was fake, but for that price I'm more than happy. Mine works well so far but the transfer speed from PC is slow and sometimes fails when transferring big files.

If I were you I would sell it anyway, it's stil a good deal for that price, somebody might be interested so they can get it from the USA. Just warn the buyers and that's all.

Well it does work alright. But I'm more interested in keeping a good reputation here than in selling stuff. So I don't feel good about selling anything I know isn't authentic. :(

ALSO: my ebay seller was in the USA! So you can't assume that an item is legit if it's not sold from Hong Kong. :annoyed:

Shit! This is the first I've heard of bootleg memory sticks. I'm not at all suprised though.
