Cabs - Window shopping forever at coinopexpress.com

Yeah man unless you are in SoCal candy cabs are hard to come by. I was lucky enough to have someone as loopy as loopyeddie drive one up to me...otherwise I would still be dreaming at coinop.

Down here it's less on the rarity and more on the price... sigh.
Atleast it's cheaper than importing.

I'd hardly call myself a pro, but here goes ...

Happ parts: divemaster127's BYOAC thread
Shock boxes + inserts: southtown-homebrew.com
MVS games: Yaton, eBay, and the sales forum here
MVS hardware: eBay and the sales forum
Video encoders: jrok.com or neobitz.com
Random other electronics: mouser.com or digikey.com (or Radio Shack if it's common and I'm in a rush)

I haven't even started looking for a cab yet since I have nowhere to put it. Candy cabs are scarce around here but I've seen two ... they both have Japanese region games in them, too.

Whats Yaton?

LOLZ. Are you serious?:spock:

Yaton is an ebay seller that sells really cheap mvs carts. He is infamous for fake labels, fake shock boxes, and extremely dirty games (look at billd420 sig). He is also known to sell bootlegs on arcademvs.com though he has removed them from the current list. I have personally had no problem with him. I've bought over 10 things from him and only the AoF3 cart had a fake label. Many people have said they would boycott him though I will not.

He's pretty safe to buy off of. Like I said I've had no problem with him. On ebay you can usually tell which one have fake labels, shelling, etc by the pics. His kits are in excellent condition though. $50 for KOF2003 and $65 for SVC and he has been auctioning some FFs and AoF kits as well (I bought a Last Blade kit for $50 shipped). People have bought off his site and have bought bootlegs game from him before, but he has removed them from his current list.

Please include links...

have one for this Yaton guy?
Heh, I'd have included it but made the assumption that everyone knows who Yaton is. :chimp:

Like Ruell said, he's pretty safe to buy from as long as you keep in mind that his "original" games are mostly original but maybe with replaced shells and labels and "working" games are bootlegs.

I've ordered 8-10 carts from him over the past few months and never been disappointed. The KOF2k3 and SVC kits were in great shape and all the bare carts, while dirty, were all cleanable and original and worked just fine.
