Sony now has downloadable packets, on their site for every month, with videos, music, and playable game content. You must update to firmware 7.1 first..then download the packet.

This months is:
PSP™ system Update 2.71 (more info)
LocoRoco™ Playable Demo (System Update 2.71 Required) - (ESRB RP)
E3 Coverage - Killzone™: Liberation (ESRB = RP)
G.A.P. Auditions Video
PlayStation-Palooza® Media
June Calendar Wallpaper

Can be found here:
http://www.us.playstation.com/pspcontentpack

Loco Roco is kinda cool. You tilt the map with l and r..in order to collect these things. Sort of fun. Havent listened to any of the music or watched any of the E3 coverage yet.

Oh, yeah. The 7.1 firmware allows you to:
Using the PSP™ system's [Internet Browser] feature, game demos can now be downloaded and saved on Memory Stick™ media.
The following demo is currently available for download:

LocoRoco™ demo

To download directly to a PSP™ system, go to http://locorocodemo.com using your system's Internet browser.Click here to view download instructions.

To download using a PC, click here to view download instructions.
bullet Video can now be displayed correctly when an external tuner is selected in [LocationFree™ Player].
Affects LocationFree™ base station (a Sony product sold separately) model numbers LF-B1 (sold in North America/Taiwan/Korea) and LF-X11 (sold in North America). (Refer to the instruction manual for your LocationFree™ base station to locate the model number.)
The issue that has been addressed does not affect LocationFree™ base stations sold in Japan or Europe.

Have fun, sorry if this has been posted before.

Hmm weird, I can't get the installer to recognize my PSP even though it's already connected with the USB cable...

did you connect it like you would regularly, through the system menu? Do that, then click the install button on the wizard.

LOLZ.

I forgot to do it that way... I connected the PSP, click on USB connection THEN execute the installation files. ;)

edit: Still doesn't get recognized...

Hm, weird. Try downloading it again? Restart your PSP? Computer? Your USB port on your computer might be bown out, like mine heh. Try a different port?

Edit: Did you update to 7.1 first?

I'm restarting the comp and d/ling the pack again, see if it works now. I also am plugging it into a different port.

Yeah I'm on 2.71 now.

edit: Nope. I can transfer files etc. but this installer won't recognize it. :(

edit2: Well I updated to 2.71 and dl LocoRoco using the WiFi but this still is annoying. :(

Wow, very nice. It looks like Sony is giving us a reason to upgrade the firmware. Here's hoping to more d/l content in the future.
