the new ds lite screens (and the gbasp with new screen) blur quite a bit when compared to the original sp and ds.

discuss.

I concur.

And I actually think the color is worse compared to the normal DS, maybe because it's *too* bright?

i felt the same. sonic rush and princess peach looked particularly oversaturated.

i didnt get a chance to play with the brightness settings though.

gba games blur less than ds games on the lite, which is the opposite of the original ds. :emb:

Try playing Princess Peach and Jump Superstars, or any 2D games for that matter (even Castlevania AoS).

I've been playing Super Princess Peach since I got my Lite and haven't noticed a thing in regards to motion blurring.

I agree with the comment that the light seems to have that indiglo quality to it. So I set Animal Crossing on the lowest brightness setting when I play the game, that way I have less of a Indigo-coloured sky when I play it.

off topic, I got my Tetris friend code, gonna post it up in my sig.

Just don't set the brightness so high. put it at the lowest or second lowest if it bothers you so much. But I have played princess peach on my ds lite and I think it looks great.

Never noticed any ghosting on my DS Lite. I played Super Puzzle fighter on it though and it was oversaturated pretty badly.

yep, I put the light settings on medium so it won't be so bright or dark and it plays fine. Currently, playing mario & Luigi partners in time, Residents Evil and Sonic Rush.

Yeah I noticed it too with Brain Age of all games. The Headcount excercise can be a bitch when you have to keep track of all the fuckers running in and out of the house.

This was my main turn off with the psp. What's the use of having a big bright display when it's squandered by a slow response panel?

I have no blurring at all on my DS Lite. And I know what blurring looks like cuz I also own a PSP.

And the colors look fantastic - Sonic Rush looks perfect - have you people never played a classic 16bit Sonic? The colors are supposed to be exaggerated and highly saturated. The old DS is the one that didn't look right, the Lite is perfection.

ditto, useless for emulators because of this.

My DS Lite though....and even my GBA SP2 [very slight ghosting]....not a prob. DS Lite has nearly no ghosting at all. Not sure what you guys are seeing?!

No ghosting at all on my Lite, currently playing Sonic Rush on it. The color looks incredibly better on the Lite .vs. the original DS too.

Rechecked my DS lite and compared it to my original DS and found that my DS lite has no blurring, my original DS has slight blurring. So then...what you guys talkin bout. Unless somehow you guys got ahold of defective DS lites which by the way I seriously doubt you did, I don't see how you come up with the blurr complain. I did notice a great difference between the hues of the old and new DS systems. The old DS has dull dark colors kind of hard to see and the DS Lite has crisp vibrant colors that is candy to the eyes. While I don't have every single game mentioned here ex: Brain Age and Animal Crossing. I do have Sonic Rush, Resident Evil, Mario & Luigi partners in Time and saw absolutely no blurring when playing these games it almost seems as if though the supposed blurr complain is suppose to somehow negate the DS lite compared to the old DS, which by the way is the contrary. My conclusion is "A" something is wrong with your eyes or "B" something is wrong with your handheld system or "C" D...r...a...ma

I played several of my games on the lite today. Had no problems with blurring at all but I did notice that some games looked like crap. I do not like Mario on there but Castlevania is the shit on it. Also Metroid looked better on a darker screen.

B-

What he said. I turn my brightness all the way up on lvl.4. I love it. Only time I turn it down is when I play in complete darkness when I get a game in b4 I hit the sack. I have no blurring (ala PSP) and the colors and brightness couldnt look better. :D
