I should have posted this sooner, but The Art of Gaming is an online magazine dedicated in publishing the concept artworks behind many video games.
The first issue has been released last night, and it features Metal Slug, followed by explanation on what pixel art is for the uncultured fools among us. Not only that, it also has a few fanarts thrown of the featured game submitted by the fans.
They've also released a press release about the magazine itself, which has better description about the actual magazine.
Metal Slug isn't a well-known game per se, and I was surprised to find out when the editor contacted me that it would be the featured game of the very first issue of the magazine.
You can probably nag MadLion, the main editor for the AOG, to cover some other games of your interest, like the King of Fighters series, for example.
