Does that include previous 0-2 post account purges? (we sometimes had their spaces preserved so that the numbers would get thrown off... for example, I was member 303, but after the system was finally recalibrated when we moved from UBB to vBulliten, I became 2XX.)

Sounds like a good time for another purging of year-old accounts with 0-2 posts.

That's a good question: are banned accounts/spambots included?

We ban them (vs. delete) so we have their IPs in an easy-to-access file.

10K is a lot of members compared to other other arcade forums, even if you don't count the bots. It still is pretty crazy considering Neo Geo is a niche system.

Okay... how many bots do you actually think are on here? We have one that we know of and tolerate (BoardTracker, which is for a search engine); but the rest are banned very quickly.

That number doesn't really mean a lot. In reality, there are at best around 300 "active" users on this forum and I guess about half are here on a daily/weekly basis.

I'm fairly certain we've been over 10000 before. Hell I was somewhere in the 9500's when I joined in Oct of '04. I'm sure we've done more than 500 members since then (in Dinkin's fake accounts alone:kekeke:).

You should Slap them silly :lolz:. I am Saving my Cash to get a AES console, my mates don't even know what the hell it is also :rolleyes: i got alot of the other consoles and to be quite honest SNK had the Best fighter games and shooters that i have ever played in the Arcades. I have got the Roms on emulator on my PC and port games on my Ps1,Ps2 & Dreamcast. But i would rather have a Neo anyday than a 360 or Ps3 :)

You have bobcats, SNK-NEO-GEO's, Wankinov's, and a few banned noobs with multiple accounts who probably make up half of those new members.

And then there are the other half: Awesome new members (like me :lolz:).

I believe a good portion are spambots finding our posting moratorium thwarting. I think its as good a time as ever for a purge of 0-1 post accounts.
