i'm thinking about getting an ST-V board and radiant silvergun, but really thought it was less than its saturn port for some reason... granted i haven't searched everywhere, i've been quoted $199.00 for the cart + aprox $20.00 for shipping... seems a bit steep to me. anyone know what the average cost of this cart is?

that seems a bit better though, bc the mobo comes with... don't get me wrong, i have no dilusions about arcade hardware cost, but i could have sworn i read that the mobo and game should be around 200. this guy quoted 200 for the game aprox 20 for shipping from jpn, and additional shipping once in the states to me... and i'd still have to seek out a jpn mobo to play the game correctly.

Dude, pay what you want for it. If you think thats too high, don't buy it. You might be able to get one for a bit cheaper, but if you want it right now, pay what you have to. I wanna get the STV version some day, but I need to have more money before I afford that one. Good game though.

$200 seems to be about what it goes for. I think someone on these boards nabbed one w/ motherboard for $150 off the Selling Forums earlier this year, but I wouldn't hold out for that deal.

The ST-V motherboards are pretty readily available on eBay, Excellent & Cosmic Co if you need one.

..whatever you pay for it, youre not gonna get a note with the game saying its REALLY only worth $25 :spock:

i dont get the hysteria around silvergun and its prices, no other game regularly fetches ~$200 yet still tons of people claim its a ripoff and it should really be a <$100 game ?? :conf:

and yeah just because somewhere, someone made a bargain and gor it for $20 doesnt automaticly make that the new going rate...

right right... not really bitching about the cost, just want to see what others are paying so i don't get drastically overcharged. IMO the game is worth it anyway... i know the game quite well, and consider it to be one of the best shooters available to us... this is all in the eye of the behoder of course, and i suppose it really boils down to "what is the game worth to me". thanks for your thoughts either way.

It's been about $200 for the cart for a while. The last one I picked up last year was about $180. It's all what you are willing to pay and how long you want to wait to get it.

Can't remember what I got mine for, think it was around $100-120 but then there was freight and some other things added to it.

And you can get a dual bios for around $20 shipped with a eu/jp or us/jp bios in it, easily switchable.
