You hit it right on the nose, nothing will happen meaning the game will not boot up as such you will not be playing it and nothing will show but a blue screen, thats is how it tells you its dead. You have two option to fix your board at this point since capcom no longer services their arcade games

(A) Swat storm capcom U.S corporate office take the president hostage pimp slap him a few time for all of us and demand him to order a tech to pull the reboot equipment out of moth balls and reboot your board and while you at it just tell him to reopen capcom coin-op in general.

OR

(B) If your a wuss just pay neo member raz 30 Euros to phoenix it so it will never have to depend on the battery ever again.

I am sure everyone here, especially those who own cps 3 games will prefer you use method A

Hi,

I sent my 2 CPS boards to RAZ, a Japanese SF Zero 2, and a US X-Men COTA. Got the ROMs back within a week, and installed them.

Sadly I didn't remove the battery long enough before sticking the new ROMs in so it didn't work first time, but a quick e-mail to Raz, and he told me to short a couple of solder points & Boosh!

2 non-suicidy CPS boards!!

I'd def recommend him, and I will be sending any more CPS2 boards I get to him. Raz is da man:mr_t:
