Hi there. I am in the UK and just bought a UK Neo Geo MVS Electrocoin. Its the one with 6 games shown at the top and is black and red.
The machine has been in storage for 2 years though it did work when I went to buy it.
I have a few problems that I want to sort:

1. 1P Joystick does not return to centre. If I press it right it does but not in any other direction. 2P Joystick is fine and seems alot "tighter" than 1P. I tried to get to the underneath of the joysticks but cant seem to work out how to get the panel open. There is some kind of allen key lock on the front just under the monitor that there is no key for. I have a key that fits all the other locks apart this one. Do I need to get this undone? Also tried undoing the screw on the control panel but they just turn and dont undo. I would get another joystick but need to know how to get to the underside 1st!

2. The guy I bought it from said the sound had been "disabled". How do I get that working again? It has a 6 slot mvs board included however he hadnt tried it and hes just been using jamma boards with it.

3. The inlays on the control panel and the marquee are very faded and im hoping to eventually restore the machine to its former glory. WHere do I get these from?

I have yet to turn the thing on as ive only just got it in the house and checked it over. The mains cable had been cut and joined badly so Ive redone this. Ive also cleaned it all out. I will power it up today.

Many thanks in advance.

To drop down the control panel, open the main door where the 6 slot is then reach up behind the control panel and you will feel 2 handles/catches release these and the panel will hinge down..

Replace the sticks as they are old and worn out.

I have a brand new control panel overlay for the neo electrocoin cab. £50 shipped.

the 6 slot has a volume control slider, the 6 slot cab is also not 100% jamma as jamma is mono and this cab is stereo.

Im in chippenham wilts.

BTW - There is no sound when playing jamma boards either. I have a multimeter. Where do I adjust or wire the sound for the cab?
