I might have gotten scammed...

It wasn't on this forum, but can you guys give me any advice? This guy was supposed to send out the package last Thursday, he said he sent it out on Friday with Tracking. Then he just told me last night that UPS picked it up from his work yesterday, and the tracking number should be available today. I have a feeling he's gonna come up with some other BS when I ask him for the tracking number today. The total amount for the item is $97, but we agreed that I would send him half through PayPal, and the rest when I receive the item. Can PayPal do something about it? Or will calling the CC company help? I'm still not sure if it is a scam or not, but I have a feeling that I'm not gonna receive anything...

1st.. if you file a "chargeback" with your CC company... Paypal will lock your account.

File a complaint on Paypal, I forget the actual place to do this... but have a look around (or call them on the phone... do not write them an email because they are bad about getting back to them.)

DO THIS ASAP.

last.... is this person by anychance... a member here? I know you said it didn't happen here.. but are they a member?

PayPal wants you to work it out with the seller until you are absolutely sure you will not get what you paid for. You have 30 days from the time you paid the seller so try to receive some definitive information either way before you take any action against him.

His username is Greedo77 over there. There's some other guy that calls him a scammer, and there are others that say he's a good seller, so I'm confused. Big Bear, I'm not planning on filing a complaint yet, I will wait a week or two, just to see what happens. What made me even more suspicious, is that I sent him two PM's today asking about the GBA SP package, and he read them, but didn't respond. I will see what happens, hopefully he's a good seller and I'm just being paranoid, lol.

i'm going to have to agree there were quite a few posts stating the nature of this individual, not to say it doesnt suck but come on now a scammer is a scammer. if they do it once they will do it again .

Guys, I think I was just being all gay and paranoid, lol. He sent the package out last night, and even gave me a UPS tracking number. He had payed for the package online like a week ago, but I'm guessing he was either too lazy or didn't have time to ship it out. I'm glad everything has turned out alright. But there's still that chance that I'll get a tooth brush in the package, so I still have to be cautious .
