Adol wheres the package?

Okay here is what has been happening. Im not trying to come to any conclusions about what is happening. I would only like to report what is going on so far and maybe understand what is going on because right now nothing is happening. In the selling forums, Adol has a thread about selling a complete set of factory sealed neo geo CD games. He wanted to sell them as a set and in order to get him to break it up I offer a high amount for 2 games. King of Fighters 96 and Last Blade 2 for $325. Here are some messages:

Well he emails back and tells me that the package has been sent on 4/4/06:

and i hope on www.usps.com once it arrives in USA

Now the thing is, it never arrives. On the French website, it said it was waiting at a post office for someone to pick it up in 15 days or else it would be sent back to sender. From 4/15/06 - 4/30/06. But I never receievd a notification. In fact, on the US website, there is no record of the item. I went to my post office and they said there is no record of the item ever reaching the US. On the French website, it does not give a location as to where the package was sent to, just that it was waiting "somewhere" to be picked up. Right before the 15 days went up, on 4/29/06, it said it was delivered. Again, I have had no word of the item and the US post office is clueless as to where it is. Adol was also suppose to have insured the package for me since it was so costly. Well Im trying to be as patient as I can be... but then I found his ebay auction:

Where he is selling another complete Factory sealed Neo Geo CD set including King of Fighters 96 and Last Blade 2. What is weird is that he only listed OSHIDASHI ZINTRICK Neo Geo CD FACTORY SEALED BRAND NEW. And for any other title, you have to message him about it. Anyways, Im not trying to conclude anything, but I believe I have been very patient about this. I just want things to be resolved. Adol what is up? Do you have extra copies of those games? Can I buy them again?

I bought last resort and aso2 from adol, and I recieved them two weeks after payment. So I would say he's a good guy. He is listing his items as a "100% complete collection" probably because it looks cooler than "94% complete".

As a buyer, you shouldn't be too patient. 300 bucks is a lot of money, and two months is a long time. I will follow this with interest, as I have loose plans of buying another CD from adol. I hope it gets resolved.

Yeah I want to be patient and give Adol the benefit of the doubt. I just want to be fair to him and get this resolved

I ran the tracking number on http://www.laposte.fr/colissimo/ I received the following message:

No parcel corresponds to your search criteria. Please check the seizure of your number of parcel and that it was sent there is less than 30 days.

I then ran the tracking number on www.usps.com and received this message:

Label/Receipt Number: XXXX XXXX XXX XX

There is no record of this item.

In order for laposte.fr to have updated their website and have a message stating that the package was "waiting at a post office for someone to pick it up in 15 days or else it would be sent back to sender. From 4/15/06 - 4/30/06.", The package had to be scanned at a destination point somewhere outside of France.

Since the usps.com website doesnt have any info in their database, I would say to call 1(800) ASK-USPS (275-8777). Tell them you home street address, city and state. Explain your situation and ask them can they get you a number for the nearest customs location.

I am thinking that maybe customs scanned your package as arrived in the US but they havent actually got around to inspecting your package and shipping it off to your local post office. This has happened to me a few times in the past and has taken anywhere from 2 weeks to 3.5 months for a package to arrive.

It also wouldnt hurt to ask ADOL to send you a high-res scan of the shipping receipt for you to take to your local P.O. If I think of anything else I'll post it here.

BTW once you reach customs, give them your tracking number. They scan EVERYTHING that comes through there. If they dont have a record of it, then it was lost before it ever made it to US soil. If they do have a record of it, then they will be able to tell you if it has been already inspected or still pending inspection. Do not be surprised if they havent gotten to it yet. Ever since 9/11 customs has gotten ALOT slower at moving items through the inspection process.

Thank you for your reply Phillip. I have been thinking that it might be stuck in customs as well. Which is why I havent been too worried until I spotted the ebay auction today. But Adol has explained it to me in his new post on his selling thread and I am going to take his word on it since he has been always polite and kind in his emails to me. Thank you very much for your response Phillip I will give those numbers you mentioned a call and see If I can come up with anything.
